The Art of Discovery
Where Every Painting Holds a New StoryWhere It All Began…
The Spirits of Naki Eywa
Before the First Brushstroke
Every creative journey has a beginning. Mine began with a vision.
While recovering from a 3,000-foot fall down a mountain, an image appeared with remarkable clarity—the image that would eventually become The Spirits of Naki Eywa. Along with it came a simple message:
“It’s time to put this to canvas.”
There was just one problem: I had never painted before.
The vision stayed with me, quietly calling me forward. So I learned—one brushstroke at a time—until what had existed only in my imagination found its way onto canvas.
Looking back, I realize the painting was about more than creating art. It marked the beginning of an unexpected journey of creativity, discovery, and trust.
The Spirits of Naki Eywa remains deeply meaningful because it reminds me that sometimes we are invited to begin long before we feel ready—and the path unfolds one step at a time.
